Tickets Now on Sale for United Solo’s Landmark 20th Season

Updated: 3 days ago

Tickets are now on sale for United Solo’s Spring 2026 season at Theatre Row on 42nd Street in New York City’s Theatre District. This spring marks the 20th anniversary season of the world’s largest solo theatre festival, commemorating two decades of groundbreaking work with new initiatives, returning alumni artists, and an exceptional lineup of solo performances from around the globe.

Launching this season is United Solo’s inaugural Artist in Residence Program, spotlighting the debut work of a renowned creator presented throughout the festival. Tony Award nominated actor and singer Sally Mayes (She Loves Me, Closer Than Ever, Pete “N” Keely) is United Solo’s first Artist in Residence. Her solo musical, Contradiction of the Southern Soul, written by and starring Mayes, and directed by Brett Cullen (Joker, The Dark Knight Rises, True Detective), will make its New York City debut at Theatre Row this season.

Audiences can experience works that span the full breadth of solo performance — from deeply personal storytelling to performance art, dance, music, comedy, and beyond. Each evening showcases artists who bring bold vision and innovation to the stage.

“For twenty seasons, United Solo has been a home for artists — a place where they can tell their stories exactly as they envision them, using every creative tool at their disposal,” said Omar Sangare, Founder and Artistic Director of United Solo. “We remain committed to being a beacon of creativity, diversity, and community in a world that deeply needs all three.”

Highlights of the season include:

• Opening Night featuring Wendy-Lane Bailey, United Solo’s Vice Artistic Director, in Remembering My Dreams. The piece was created by Bailey, Michele Brourman, and Omar Sangare.

• Former child star Rheagan Wallace (Malcolm in the Middle, That’s So Raven, Walker, Texas Ranger) reflects on her journey in Stage Mama: From Child Star to Leading Lady.

• Broadway veteran Rosemary Loar (Sunset Boulevard, Chess, Cats, Once Upon a Mattress starring Sarah Jessica Parker) debuts her musical family drama Three Sisters: New Jersey Edition.

• Social worker–turned–TV and film writer Diana Romero explores identity and otherness in Me, Myself and Other.

Penny Sterling, recipient of the United Solo Pride Award, returns with her solo piece Mounting Washington.

United Solo’s Spring 2026 season runs March 17 through April 12 at Theatre Row. The festival concludes with its traditional Closing Gala on April 12 at 7:00 PM.
