Germany’s Solo Festival THESPIS Shares Its 11th Season

THESPIS, Germany’s unique and internationally renowned festival of monodrama, features diverse solo productions from around the world, among them numerous prize winners. Many will have their German premiere in Kiel, a historic city on the shore of the Baltic Sea. For one week, artists from various countries and cultures will converge in Kiel to present their contributions to solo performance. THESPIS 2018 represents a theater of artistic diversity. The solo productions invited to participate deal with contemporary issues and timeless dilemmas. They speak of life, hope and failure in post-dictatorial societies, the machinations of the powerful, the struggle for survival of the powerless, and universal struggles against injustice and oppression. That has always been the mission of THESPIS. This year’s festival promises to be as special as ever. November 10-17, 2018. For more information, please visit: www.thespis.de
